Well hi there!
My name is Katie. I am a silly, outgoing, happy-go-lucky 25-year-old full-time surgery and patient support veterinary technician who has been a part of the veterinary field for seven years. I am also a sophomore in college, majoring in Biochemistry.
I was born in Dallas, Texas, on November 17th, to a southern networking administrator (dad), and a Detroit native legal secretary (mom). We moved to Las Vegas, Nevada when I was three years old and I was raised as an only child. I moved to southern California when I met my husband at the age of 19. I got married on December 1st, 2012 to a dude a met on World of Warcraft. We've been together since late 2010.
When you're in the veterinary field, it's some sort of unspoken rule that you must acquire some sort of animal companionship. I have three dogs, all of which are rescues and a sweet little Guinea pig named Walden. I have a fondness for homemade lattes, reading in bed, video games, meditation and mindfulness, binge watching YouTube videos and buying new school supplies. Seriously, the school supplies obsession is out of control.
I am a very simple human being who enjoys the simple things in life. I wanted to create a blog to share my love of life and all the lovely things in it that promote happiness. I hope you find this blog to be a little sanctuary from your busy day.
